Vanessa Sturgeon has worked in Portland real estate development and management since 2000. Her background in developing and managing mixed-use high rise towers includes office, retail and multi-family as well as retail shopping centers and industrial parks in Oregon and Washington. Most recently, she developed and opened the Park Avenue West Tower, a 30 story mixed-use tower in downtown Portland.
Vanessa is a graduate of Santa Clara University and Atkinson Graduate School of Management.
Her awards and professional recognitions include the Portland Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and Women of Influence awards. She has also been recognized by the Daily Journal of Commerce as she was named a Woman of Vision, and was awarded the publication’s Newsmakers of the Year distinction. Additionally, Vanessa received the Portland Business Alliance’s Place With No Ceiling Award for her dedication to supporting and mentoring women.
Civic involvement includes service on multiple Boards, including her position as Board President for New Avenues for Youth, Vice Chair for the Portland Business Alliance, and membership on the board of R&H Construction and the Knight Cancer Council.
NICK FRITEL, CFA
Nick started his career in commercial real estate in 2004 as a financial analyst in the Portland office of HFF, a capital markets intermediary. Spending over six years there working with a variety of investor types including investment banks, private equity funds, life insurance companies, REIT’s and family offices/local investors provided insight into multiple different views of how to evaluate an investment.
Since 2014 he has worked at TMT Development and currently serves in the role of CFO for both TMT and SDP. In this capacity he has been responsible for recapitalizing the financial strategy of the company including the capitalization of select assets including Fox Tower, Park Avenue West and Delta Park Center.
Nick received his bachelor degree from Montana State University and MBA from Cornell. He has also earned his CFA Charter and has served on the CFA Society Portland board of directors for over 5 years. Additionally, he serves on the board of Downtown Clean & Safe. He has also been recognized in the Portland Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.
